As my child watches me with his almond shaped eyes full of love, he makes me want to embrace him.
He has an unique assortment of features and personality traits that make him special and irresistible to me.
It doesn’t matter that one eye is slightly bigger than the other or that they are a bit too close together.
They are my child’s eyes, small glistening pools of milk with tiny chocolate donuts floating in them.
Right below them is a round thing resembling a nose except that it doesn’t quite point at the end.
Below that are two thin tan lips. They are very smooth, soft and great for those “I love you Mommy” kisses.
They get even thinner when he smiles in which the top one curls up on the right side.
Shining bright, his teeth barely peek from under his curled lip.
He has sweet pudgy cheeks even when he is not smiling with only one crescent shaped dimple.
His complexion reminds me of a baked apple pie, light brown in some areas darker in others.
Ears like half-moons creep around the eastern and western hemispheres of the rigid oval border completing this wonderful creation.
When I touch his flawless, supple skin, I think of how much he reminds of his father.
